Our client is hiring a Founding Engineer as one of the earliest engineering team members. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to help build not only the product, but also the engineering foundation behind it. You will work directly with the CEO and contribute across product, infrastructure, AI, and deployment. The scope is broad, and this role is best suited for someone who enjoys moving across the stack, solving problems end to end, and shipping with speed.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of the full product stack, covering frontend, backend, and deployment Design, build, and improve the AI model layer, including multi-model orchestration, context handling, and inference efficiency Support post-training and fine-tuning workflows using proprietary conversational datasets Build and maintain real-time infrastructure using Convex or similar technologies Work closely with leadership to drive technical execution and deliver product outcomes Proactively step into engineering challenges with strong end-to-end ownership

Requirements

Must-Have Requirements Love to build for the love of the game Stay current with the latest AI models and industry trends Strong expertise in TypeScript/Node and confidence working across the full stack Hands-on experience with multi-model API architectures, including routing, fallback strategies, and balancing cost vs. quality Familiarity with fine-tuning, RLHF, or post-training workflows Strong builder mindset: you prefer shipping over debating, and you fix issues before being asked Able to communicate in English Culturally aware / Doom Scroller Nice-to-Have Eager to learn how a real startup operates Experience building products for, or in collaboration with, creator/influencer networks Comfortable working asynchronously across multiple time zones Background in startups and software engineering Built in public, contributed to open source, or have visible side projects Familiar with efficient agent workflows for coding tasks Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.
