About

As a Senior Shopify Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing Shopify-based eCommerce solutions.

Responsibilities

Working directly with clients to develop, customize, and manage eCommerce websites on the Shopify platform, ensuring all deliverables meet agreed specifications. Developing and maintaining Shopify themes, utilizing Liquid programming and relevant Shopify applications. Implementing and customizing themes, including building Headless solutions using TypeScript (React.js). Building custom features from scratch and enhancing existing Shopify site components. Troubleshooting technical issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve website performance, functionality, and stability. Integrating third-party services and APIs to enhance functionality, performance, and security. Continuously optimizing Shopify-based products and contributing to process improvements

Requirements

Mandatory Requirements BSc degree in Computer Science or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience working with the Shopify platform, including Shopify template structure and language. Proven experience building custom Shopify themes and features from scratch, as well as modifying existing components. Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React.js). Hands-on experience with Shopify APIs, Headless architecture, and subscription models. Strong backend expertise, ideally within E-Commerce environments. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies. Fluent business English with strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams. High adaptability and willingness to respond flexibly to changing client requirements and urgent requests. Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills Experience with Shopify Functions. Experience with Shopify Checkout UI Extensions
